Peter Bassey Okon has spent more than eight years doing one thing consistently — making digital skills practical, accessible, and immediately usable for professionals and businesses across Africa.

He has trained on Google's Digital Skills for Africa programme, delivered sessions under Boost with Facebook, and worked in collaboration with TechQuest STEM Academy and Junub Open Space on the Female Entrepreneur Support Programme — reaching professionals across Nigeria and South Sudan. He is also the Curator of the Lagos Hub of the Global Shapers Community, a World Economic Forum initiative.

The moment that changed everything was sitting in an expensive data analytics training and realising that AI was already doing — faster and better — half of what the instructor was teaching manually. The frustration was not at the instructor. It was at the system. Why was nobody teaching people to use the tools that actually exist today?

That question became SkillsVerse. A training company built entirely for the world as it is — not as it was. One that treats AI not as something to fear or ignore, but as the most powerful enabler available to any professional willing to learn how to use it.
