Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 1 January 2025 · Last updated: March 2026 · SkillsVerse, Lagos, Nigeria
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of SkillsVerse's training programmes, website, and related services. By enrolling in any SkillsVerse programme — whether as an individual student, a private coaching client, or as part of a corporate or organisational training engagement — you agree to be bound by these terms in full.
SkillsVerse is a training company based in Lagos, Nigeria, operating across Nigeria and internationally. We provide practical AI and digital skills training to individuals, businesses, and organisations through group cohort programmes, private 1-on-1 coaching, and bespoke corporate team training.
Please read these terms carefully before enrolling. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not proceed with enrolment. If you have any questions, contact us at skillsversehq@gmail.com before purchasing.
Throughout these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:
- "SkillsVerse," "we," "us," or "our" refers to SkillsVerse, its founder, trainers, and team members operating under the SkillsVerse brand.
- "Student" or "you" refers to any individual who enrols in, purchases, or participates in any SkillsVerse programme or service.
- "Programme" refers to any training offering including group cohorts, private 1-on-1 coaching, corporate team training, workshops, or any other structured learning experience provided by SkillsVerse.
- "Corporate Client" refers to any business, NGO, government agency, or organisation that engages SkillsVerse for team or group training.
- "Content" refers to all materials, curricula, recordings, slides, resources, templates, and any other training material produced and delivered by SkillsVerse.
- "Platform" refers to the SkillsVerse website, any learning management system used, and all digital tools through which training is delivered or accessed.
Enrolment in a SkillsVerse programme is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or an approved payment plan arrangement. A confirmation communication will be sent to the email address provided at the time of registration.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol independently. Students under 18 may enrol with written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details, email address, and personal information you provide at enrolment are accurate and current.
- Access to programme materials, sessions, and resources is granted to the enrolled student only and is non-transferable.
- You may not share your login credentials, session links, or programme materials with any third party who has not enrolled and paid for the programme.
- SkillsVerse reserves the right to decline or cancel an enrolment if we determine, in our sole discretion, that a programme is not the right fit for a prospective student — in which case a full refund will be issued.
- Group cohort sessions are scheduled in advance and published to enrolled students. Attendance is the student's responsibility.
All prices for SkillsVerse programmes are stated in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise specified. International students may be quoted in USD or other currencies by agreement.
- Full payment is required to confirm and secure your enrolment, unless a payment plan has been explicitly agreed in writing.
- Payment plan arrangements are available for select programmes and must be agreed before enrolment is confirmed. Failure to maintain agreed payment instalments may result in suspension of access until outstanding amounts are cleared.
- Prices are subject to change without notice. However, any price increase will not affect a confirmed and paid enrolment.
- Corporate training pricing is provided on a proposal basis and is not publicly listed. A full written proposal will be provided following a free consultation call, valid for 14 days from the date of issue.
- Any applicable taxes, bank transfer fees, or payment processing charges are the responsibility of the student or corporate client.
- SkillsVerse does not store payment card details. All payment processing is handled through secure third-party payment providers.
SkillsVerse is committed to delivering high-quality training. We encourage all prospective students to speak with us before enrolling so we can confirm the programme is the right fit. Our refund policy is as follows:
- Group cohort programmes:A full refund is available if a cancellation request is submitted in writing at least 7 days before the programme start date. No refund is available after the programme has commenced.
- Private 1-on-1 coaching: A full refund is available if a cancellation request is submitted before the first session has taken place. After the first session, a partial refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis for unused sessions, less an administration fee.
- Corporate training: Refund terms for corporate programmes are outlined in the individual service agreement signed between SkillsVerse and the corporate client. In the absence of a specific agreement, a 50% deposit is non-refundable once training preparation has commenced.
- Non-attendance: Failure to attend scheduled sessions does not constitute grounds for a refund. Students are responsible for their own attendance and schedule management.
- Programme cancellation by SkillsVerse: In the unlikely event that SkillsVerse cancels a programme, enrolled students will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative cohort.
SkillsVerse delivers programmes in-person, online (via video conferencing), and in hybrid format combining both. The delivery method for each programme is clearly communicated at the point of enrolment.
- Online and hybrid sessions require a stable internet connection, a functioning device with camera and microphone capability, and access to the relevant video conferencing platform. Technical difficulties on the student's end do not entitle the student to a refund or session replacement.
- SkillsVerse reserves the right to change the delivery format of a programme where circumstances require — for example, switching from in-person to online delivery due to unforeseen circumstances. Affected students will be notified with reasonable advance notice.
- Session schedules are published in advance. SkillsVerse reserves the right to reschedule sessions with a minimum of 24 hours' notice where reasonably possible.
- For private 1-on-1 coaching, session rescheduling must be requested by the student at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions cancelled by the student with less than 24 hours' notice may be forfeited at SkillsVerse's discretion.
- All AI tools, platforms, and software referenced during training are third-party products. SkillsVerse is not responsible for changes, outages, pricing changes, or discontinuation of any third-party tool.
SkillsVerse is committed to maintaining a respectful, professional, and productive learning environment for all students. All enrolled students are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
- Students must treat trainers, staff, and fellow students with respect at all times — in sessions, in group chats, and in all communications with SkillsVerse.
- Disruptive behaviour during sessions — including harassment, abusive language, or conduct that negatively impacts other students — may result in removal from the session and, at SkillsVerse's discretion, termination of enrolment without refund.
- Students may not record sessions without the express written permission of SkillsVerse.
- Students may not use programme materials, content, or training methodologies for the purpose of creating or delivering competing training products or services.
- The AI tools and techniques taught in SkillsVerse programmes must be used responsibly and ethically. SkillsVerse accepts no liability for how students choose to apply their skills after training.
All content, materials, curricula, frameworks, templates, recordings, slides, and resources produced by SkillsVerse are the exclusive intellectual property of SkillsVerse and are protected under applicable Nigerian and international copyright law.
- Students are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use programme materials for their own learning purposes only.
- No part of any SkillsVerse programme material may be reproduced, distributed, sold, sublicensed, or published in any form without the prior written consent of SkillsVerse.
- Sharing programme materials with non-enrolled individuals — whether for free or for payment — constitutes a breach of these terms and may result in legal action.
- The SkillsVerse name, logo, and brand identity are registered trademarks. Use of the SkillsVerse brand without written permission is strictly prohibited.
- Work produced by students during programmes (assignments, projects, portfolios) remains the property of the student. SkillsVerse may request permission to showcase student work as part of its marketing or testimonials, which students may grant or decline.
Upon successful completion of a SkillsVerse programme, enrolled students are eligible to receive a SkillsVerse Certificate of Completion.
- Certificates are issued digitally to the email address on record. Physical certificates may be arranged on request and may incur a printing and courier fee.
- Completion is defined by SkillsVerse and may include minimum attendance requirements, submission of assigned work, or other programme-specific criteria communicated at enrolment.
- SkillsVerse certificates are not accredited by any government body or academic institution unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific programme.
- SkillsVerse reserves the right to withhold a certificate in cases of outstanding payment, violation of these terms, or failure to meet completion criteria.
Corporate training engagements are governed by these Terms and Conditions in addition to any specific service agreement executed between SkillsVerse and the corporate client.
- All corporate programmes begin with a free consultation call, following which a written proposal is issued. The proposal is valid for 14 days.
- Engagement is confirmed upon receipt of a signed agreement and the agreed deposit payment.
- The corporate client is responsible for ensuring an appropriate training venue (for in-person delivery), participant attendance, and a suitable technical environment (for online or hybrid delivery).
- Travel and accommodation costs for training outside Lagos are the responsibility of the corporate client and will be itemised clearly in the proposal.
- Post-training reports and certificates will be issued to the corporate client within 5 business days of the final training session.
- The corporate client may not reproduce, redistribute, or repurpose SkillsVerse training materials for internal use beyond the agreed programme without separate written permission.
SkillsVerse provides training in good faith and with the aim of equipping students with practical, applicable skills. However, we make no guarantee of specific income, employment, client acquisition, or business outcomes as a result of completing any programme.
- Results achieved by students depend on individual effort, application, market conditions, and factors outside SkillsVerse's control. Testimonials and case studies shared by SkillsVerse represent the experiences of individual students and are not guaranteed for all participants.
- SkillsVerse's total liability to any student or corporate client shall not exceed the total amount paid by that student or client for the relevant programme.
- SkillsVerse is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from enrolment in or completion of any programme.
- SkillsVerse is not responsible for the actions, content, or availability of any third-party AI tools, platforms, or services referenced or used during training.
SkillsVerse reserves the right to terminate or suspend a student's enrolment at any time, with or without notice, in the following circumstances:
- Violation of any provision of these Terms and Conditions.
- Abusive, threatening, or disruptive conduct toward trainers, staff, or fellow students.
- Non-payment or default on an agreed payment plan.
- Fraudulent activity, including misrepresentation of identity or organisation.
- Any conduct that SkillsVerse determines to be harmful to the integrity, reputation, or operations of the company.
In cases of termination for cause, no refund will be issued. SkillsVerse will provide written notice of termination to the email address on record.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, it shall be referred to mediation or, failing that, to the appropriate courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
SkillsVerse reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on the SkillsVerse website with a revised effective date. Continued use of SkillsVerse services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
